Todrick Hall’s “CinderFella”

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Todrick Hall or simply haven’t gotten the chance to see his newest video yet, do yourself a favor and play the video that’s embedded below. Trust me, you will not regret it.

The music in this video is impeccably written. Hall’s last video, “Beauty and the Beat”, was a hilarious take on the opening number from Beauty andthe Beast. He ups the stakes in this video almost tenfold, not only playingaround with the lyrics and characters of several Disney songs back-to-back, but adding in several contemporary tunes just for good measure. The result is a gleeful, gay-friendly rumpus of music and dancing that contains the  added delight of a few familiar faces (be they characters or actual celebrities). Choreography is sharp and yet playful, the costumes are impressive, and the effects are on-point. In one word, this video is awesome. Oh, and it was also recently featured in The Advocate.
